GTZ / PASRA Solar

The project was funded by GTZ and installed in GTZ/PASRA office in
Jajarkot. The solar power system is designed to power two desktop
computers, one printer, fax machine and lights. Earlier PASRA office
did not have power and had to go to next place for work like
printing and fax which was hampering the office works. After
installing the system now the PASRA office has become energy
independent.

Urban Solar Solution |

The Solar power system is
purchased for urban household usages, which provide power for two
deep fridges of 100W each and 5 lights of 50 W each where the
electricity is generated with no emissions and no noise. With the
implementation of this project, the children now are able to read
and write during power failure. After the installation of the
system, the home is now energy independent and has continuous power
supply from clean and environment friendly solar power system.

Solar Vaccine
Refrigerator Systems |

Lotus Energy successfully
designed, sized and installed seven solar powered vaccine
refrigerators for various health posts in the a Taplejung district
and one in Bolde Phediche hospital in Kavre District. It needed all
of our experience to supply the systems in the most remote areas and
under challenging conditions. The availability of electric energy
and vaccine refrigeration are essential for modern and effective
health services

NIDS Humla Project |

The
project was funded by Nepal Institute of Development Studies (NIDs)
and installed in NIDS office in Simikot, Humla. The solar power
system is designed to power two laptop computers, one printer, and
lights. Earlier NIDS office did not have power and had to go to next
place for work like printing and fax which was hampering the office
works. After installing the system now the NIDS office has become
energy independent.

Tashi Chime Nunnery

The project was funded by
Himalayan Experience and was installed in Tashi Chime Nunnery, Bigu,
Dolakha. The solar power system is designed to power 181 lights in
the main Monastery and the dormitories of the Nuns. Earlier the nuns
were using the kerosene lamps and the woods for lighting purpose.
This made the life of Nuns hard and use of the kerosene lamp was
also affecting the health of nuns. Installation of the solar power
system has made the life of nuns easy and comfortable. They can now
pray and study till late in the night and can go for prayer works
early in the morning.

Kafaldanda Solar
Pumping Project |

The project was
implemented in collaboration with AEPC, user group and Lotus Energy.
The pumping is done in two stages. The pump at collection tank lifts
the water from collection tank to the intermediate tank whereas the
pump at the intermediate tank lifts the water from the intermediate
tank to the distribution tank. The system is providing clean
drinking water to 45 households with population of 300 and has their
life easier. Before implementation of this project the villagers had
to walk more than one hour to bring a bucket of water.

Kakani Training
Center Electrification |

The project was funded
by Kakani Training Center. The solar power system is designed to run
computers, printer, photocopy machine, refrigerators, TV and lights.
The Kakani training center had major power problem due to the
unreliable city power supply and the fluctuation of voltage. But
after the installation of the system, the Kakani Training center is
now energy independent and has continuous power supply from clean
and environment friendly solar power system. |
